J & L Building & Design is a Macclesfield based construction company with over 30 years’ experience within the building trade industry; providing full building services to domestic properties throughout the Macclesfield and surrounding areas. We cover all types of residential property work, such as kitchen / bathroom design & installations, home refurbishments, new builds, loft conversions, extensions and landscaping & design services.

As a result, we have a well-earned reputation as an established and trusted building contractor within our field , leaving a trail of happy customers everywhere we go.
The project management is carefully organised by our main contractor with over 30 years in the industry managing and construction domestic properties across the UK. Our system has been developed to a very high standard with our team over the years, meaning the projects we work on run smooth and seamlessly throughout each phase of the development.
Having one “all-inclusive” and highly organised team, means each project goes through the same system, maintaining high standards and quality of service throughout.
All the tradesmen who will be working on your project are CITB registered and have worked with our company for many years; it’s a settled and highly efficient work force and each member has been tried and tested for their reliability and ability to do the work to the highest standard.
The structural calculations and design plans of your project will be prepared by our in-house architectural engineering team and submitted to the Building Control service to ensures that all work complies with the local Building Regulations of your property.
A copy of the plans will be given to you prior to the application being made, at this stage, any alterations you would like to make to the project can be incorporated into the design plan.
Following the submission of your design plan and calculations, Building Control usually respond within 7 days with the approval of the project, along with an invoice for their work. These fees are the responsibly of the homeowner and not included in the price for our contractual work.
Once we get started on the development of your new home renovation project, the building inspector will pay a visit to the site at different occasions throughout, until completion. This is standard government protocol to ensure that the development is tightly following all Building Regulations and the approved plan submitted to Building Control.
Once our project is compete, we’ll give you our full Company Ten Year Workmanship Guarantee. We are also fully insured, so in the unlikely event that something does go wrong, you can rest assured you have nothing to worry about.
